Easter in Kentucky
Spend Easter in Kentucky climbing fabulous sandstone! A ACC-Toronto Section tradition.
There are over 2000 routes (and counting) in Kentucky, spread out over 50+ crags. The routes range from 5.0 to 5.14c and there is an even distribution between trad and sport. Literally, there are routes for every type of climber out there (new climber, old climber, easy, hard, trad, sport, jamming, face, overhung, etc).
We will be renting cabins (approx $100 per person for 4 nights), so we can enjoy hot showers, communal meals, and some apres-climb socialization.

Lion's Head weekend
Lion's Head is one of the truly spectacular climbing areas in Ontario. Pristine limestone cliffs overlooking Georgian Bay are home to Ontario's best sport climbing. Lion's Head may be great climbing, but it isn't welcoming for new-comers, as route starting points can only be reached by rappelling and route finding can be challenging.
Participants must be able to climb 10's routinely in the gym. Meet at trailhead at 10:00AM on Saturday... 3 1/2 hour drive from Toronto. Max 10 participants.
DKY Climbing Experience Part 2 - Date revised to June 7
“Rock climbing is inherently a dangerous activity.” How often have you read that on a waiver form and thought to yourself “What’s so dangerous about climbing in a gym? I know what I’m doing in the gym. Now if I were climbing outside…”
Going from the climbing gym to the “Great Outdoors” isn’t easy and it can be frightening. Some people succeed in spite of their lack of knowledge, but most reasonable people don’t try going outdoors due a fear of the unknown. That’s where the “DKY” climbing experience can help you!

Women's Climbing Day
Female members are invited join Amy and Lesley for a day of climbing and skills sharing June 13 at Buffalo Crag. Planned as a follow up to 2008's popular Trad is Rad women's trip, there will be 6 available spots first-come-first served basis. (More spots will become available if lady leaders sign up).
Activities will range from top roping, seconding trad, an introduction to gear and anchors, and learning a variety of knots. It is sure to be a fun day of climbing and encouragement.
Bancroft Rock Climbing
Come stay at the unofficial Toronto Section Hut at Bancroft, Chateau Imai-Compton. This trip, and its sister trip in the winter, are fast becoming a popular Toronto Section tradition.
The Eagles Nest has high quality sport and trad lines in a very accessible and picturesque setting - you can even bag a Tim Horton's coffee between routes.
