Lion’s Head sport climbing and camping weekend
LION'S HEAD SPORT CLIMBING AND CAMPING WEEKEND
Lion’s Head, Ontario
Saturday, June 2 & Sunday, June 3, 2012
This section of the Niagara Escarpment near the Bruce Peninsula village of Lion’s Head has become a top sport climbing destination for those in southern Ontario and beyond.
Nearly all the routes are in the 5.9-5.14 range. The way in which the upper limestone strata jut out over a base cliff of eroded shale means that on most routes the climbers must rappel down about half-way to hanging belays and then lead up to the top again.
Easter in Kentucky!
The Toronto Section's annual Kentucky trip! Tugging on immaculate sandstone, feasting on Miguel's pizza, Ale-8-One, good times with friends; what else can we say to convince you to join us?
