POSTPONED Ski touring and winter camping in Algonquin Park (POSTPONED until Mar 6/7)

Note that this event is being moved to the next weekend (conflicts with prime Olympic events .. Apologies for the late change)

Late February is prime time for ski touring and camping in Algonquin. The snow is usually more consolidated and the days are longer. The trip will be a mellow loop with a focus on winter travel and camping skills. If the snow is good we can build a quincy or snow cave. Essential equipment is a good sleeping bag. Touring or Telemark skiis with heavier boots are best but x-country touring gear will do.
