* This is a 4 day trip with a goal to hike on top of the highest peak in the US east of the Mississippi River - Mount Mitchell. The plan is to start driving to Mnt. Mitchell on Thursday (about 1300km and should take all day), camp over night and hike to the top of the mountain on Friday. Pick an interesting trail near by and do some hiking on Saturday. And finally head back to Toronto on Sunday. * Every hiker is responsible for their supply of water and food. It is highly recommended to wear hiking boot and have some sort of bug protection.
