Getting There

Will arrange car pooling nearer the time

Climbs

Depending on conditions, over 20 single pitch ice routes grading from WI2 to WI5 from 12 to 40m in height, including the ‘mighty’ Where Egos Dare (WI5, 40m). Short access across lake to base of climbs. Depending on preferences, aim to set up a number of top ropes, as well as lead climbs. Arrive Saturday morning, set up camp on lake and then climb rest of Saturday and Sunday.

Equipment

As well as standard climbing gear listed above, you will need to bring suitable winter camping equipment:

· Down or synthetic sleeping bag rated to around -20˚C (can be rented at MEC). If you have a 3 season bag, then using an overbag may boost performance by 10˚C or so (e.g. I use a -10˚C rated bag with an overbag which is toasty to -25˚C).

· 3-4 season tent (again, can be rented at MEC). Depending on participants preferences we should be able to share tents (for those who do not already own one).

· Sleeping pad

· Own food, backpacking stove, fuel, pots, eating utensils etc. (again, stove sharing can be done as long as we have more than one!).

· Liquid courage - optional

Aiming to sled in some containers of drinking water and firewood
