Attention ice climbers of all stripes!

Improve your skills while having a blast at a special instructional weekend hosted by the Toronto Section with special guest Sean Isaac. Based out of Misty Valley (the unofficial ACC hut in the Bancroft area), the weekend will be spent climbing crags near Bancroft working on ice and mixed climbing skills, proper waterfall ice climbing technique, and alpine entertainment.

This is a unique opportunity to learn to ice climb with one of the foremost winter climbing specialists in Canada. The event is limited to a maximum of eight participants. To attend you must have ice climbed at least once in the past. Beginners are welcome (and encouraged).

Cost: $285 per person including food and accommodation at Misty Valley.

About Sean Isaac: He is an ACMG-certified alpine guide and a professional sponsored climber. He has been climbing ice for 20 years, most of which has been full-time. He has established more than 100 new ice and mixed routes all over the world. Sean is the author of two books: the guidebook Mixed Climbs in the Canadian Rockies and the how-to book Mixed Climbing. He is renowned for not only for his skill as a high-end climber but also for his instructional and coaching techniques. He has taught many ice leadership courses for a number of institutions including the Alpine Club of Canada, Thompson River University and the British military.
