Hi,
I am keen to get out again while the conditions are still good (this weekend?).
Anyone interested?

Ice climbing partner wanted to
Hi Quentin,
I assume by your email address that you will be climbing in the Hamilton region. If so, where are you thinking of going? I tried Dundas Peak falls last weekend and it was very wet.

Ben,
No, my surname is Hamilton (I live in Toronto).
I was at Tiffany Falls last weekend - borderline ice, but we did manage to put in a couple of top ropes. Hopefully the recent cold weather will have improved things. I would be happy going to Tiffany again, unless you have any better ideas (I haven't been to Dundas Peak falls?).
Cheers,

Quentin, I have never been
Quentin,
I have never been climbing at Tiffany Falls. Every time I go to check it out, it seems very crowded and there doesn't seem to be room for even one more rope. Was it packed last weekend?
Dundas Peak Falls is just a five minute drive away and isolated (at only a 3,it is a bit easy though). It's just outside the Spencer Gorge area on CN Rail land, only a 3 minute walk off the Bruce trail where Sydenham road zig zags down the escarpment. I might go this weekend. However, depending on the conditions, Elora may be the better option.
Regardless, I was thinking of going Sunday, heading out around 10:00 ish. Would you want to come?

Ben, The few times I have
Ben,
The few times I have been to Tiffany it hasn't been too bad (although last weekend the ice on the 'main' falls was crappy so yes, things were a bit tight.
If Elora is more challenging than Dundas that sounds great!
.......I have no ropes and have mainly done top rope with some seconding.....do you have gear and know how to set it up?
It would be great to climb on Sunday! The forecast for Elora is +2deg, but hopefully the recent cold snap has done its job.
