New route at Calabogie

The Shocker.... M-"medium"

For anyone looking to hone those mixed skills, there's an awesome line just to the right of Nameless Two that got put up yesterday. Joins up with Shock and Awe, but is a little more in keeping with the conditions you'll find most seasons

Begins about 25 ft right of Nameless Two. Head up big ledges to a solid birch tree. Tiptoe up a small smear of ice, then head left under the roofs to the arrete on thin moves. Hike yourself into the little pod, then join up with the tongue of steep ice coming down from the top of the cliff. Make sure to pass under the cedar when you get onto the ice.

The good thing about this route is that the moves are solid and engaging, and the protection is very good with cams and large nuts. I'll have photos later today if anyone is interested
