Easy Route Near Lake Placid

I'll be heading to the lake placid area this weekend for a ski trip. I wouldn't mind doing an route or tow on top rope for the days I can't afford skiing. Does anyone know a good route in the area or at least a good reference guide for that spot?

Thanks,

PS you don't even need to say it, TR'ing is lame. But, hey, it gets the job done with minimum effort.

Re: Easy Route near Lake Placid

Ben,
There is a tonne of great ice near Lake Placid. The guidebook for that area is called Blue Lines. It should be easily available at MEC, the EMS store in Lake Placid or The Mountaineer in Keene Valley (down the road from Lake Placid).
Your best bet for top-roping is Cascade Pass - lots of easy WI2 and WI3 routes such as Pitchoff Right, Bowser, Buster etc. and some harder ones as well (Quarry).
