Oxtongue Lake, Algonquin Park area

Saturday March 5 we were ice climbing on Pillar of Doom. It has lots of ice and is still very solid. Kid in a Candy Store and Lost Arrow are in as well but thin in places. The climb Summit Falls which is just around the corner from the entrance gully to Pillar of Doom is in a well. Lots of snow up there as well.

The right side had a layer of sun rot and the left was chandeliery/airy in places, but overall the ice conditions were good (the screws felt solid). The climb was in the shade at least until 1:00 PM when we left. I expect it became a shower stall in the afternoon when it gets direct sun.
