We crossed Bow Lake on the ice staying close to the western shoreline. Lake ice was solid.

Conditions:

Generally speaking, the ice was still on the thin side (for Bow Lake), especially in the middle, but the two ramp routes were plenty thick enough to take good screws. Some of the ice up top was on the snicey/baked side.

Crystal Pillars - only one icicle/pillar touching down ("sequence of vertical pillars on the far left of the main icefall"? What sequence of vertical pillars?)
