A chance for us to get together and discuss all things icy before the season starts. This would be a great opportunity for ice climbers new to the club to make some contacts and plan some future trips. Likewise, this is a great opportunity for novice ice climbers, or those rock climbers out there that are interested in taking the plunge to learn more about this exhilarating winter pastime (‘cmon, snowboarding is SO 1990’s!). Come out, enjoy some great food, a few beers and learn more about the wonderful sport of ice climbing.

This year's Annual General Meeting will feature our guest speaker, ice and mixed climber, Will Gadd. The show promises to be entertaining and filled with anecdotes about Will's climbing adventures around the world. Some attendees might remember Will's climbing adventures off the coast of Newfoundland, climbing icebergs!

Nobody ever died wishing they had spent more time behind a desk.

An award-winning writer (New York Times, Men's Journal, etc.) and film maker (first place at the Banff Film Festival for Musashi), Will recently hosted a prime-time series for Discovery, "Fearless Planet." His book on ice climbing is the top publication in its field and has been translated into four languages. His presentations on "Risk and Reward" and related topics take him all over the world to speak to audiences ranging from at-risk youth to large businesses.
