Come out for a day of trad & sport climbing at beautiful Devils Glen. This crag has some terrific trad & sport routes primarily 5.7 & higher.

Participants must be current ACC members & have experience following or leading trad & sport climbs.

Participants must also have the usual equip. ( helmet, harness, rock shoes, belay device, & locking biners).

Lead climbing experience would also be a definate asset.

Due to the nature of the climbing & the location of the crag, space on this trip is limited.


Metcalfe Climbing Day

Come out for a day of sport & trad climbing at scenic Metcalfe rock. This crag has many fun sport & trad climbs, primarily 5.7 and higher. Participants must be current ACC members & have experience following sport or trad climbs.

Participants must have the usual equip. ( helmet, harness, rock shoes,belay device, & locking biners).

Additional equip. such as a rope & rack, as well as lead climbing experience would be welcomed.

Boots and Beef Stew at Rattlesnake Point

Alpine Rock Climbing Clinic

Come out to Rattlesnake Point to do some winter rock climbing - good training for alpine rock climbs. Bring your mountaineering boots, ice axe and thin gloves for climbing plus a warmer pair for belaying; along with all your regular climbing gear - helmet, harness, belay device, rock pro, warm clothes, etc. A lunch of beef stew (with a vegetarian option if required) will be provided at a cost of $5.00 per person.

Note that this event is not a dry-tooling outing.

Trip classification : A & B (see below)

"A" Trip is suitable for beginner ice climbers. Participants are not required to lead but must have belaying skills. Mostly single pitch with an easy approach.
Equipment requirements include harness, helmet, ice tools, boots, crampons, at least 1 locking 'biner, and a belay device (must not be a Grigri).
