Introductory Top Rope at Rattlesnake Point

Climb at Rattlesnake Point (Top Rope) on Saturday, Sept. 19th. Beginners are welcome.

Please note that helmets are mandatory for all ACC climbing events. (A helmet can be rented at MEC for $4 per day.)


Top-rope Clinic and Climbing

This is a weekend clinic for those people wanting to learn how to safely set up top-rope anchors and ground anchors for belaying.
Topics covered are:
- how to safety off at the top of a climb.
- knots and gear used to set up a top-rope anchor both with and without bolts.
- how to set up a ground anchor at the base of the cliff if needed.
- proper belay techniques with various devices.

This is a 2 day clinic:

Day 1 consists of demonstration of top-rope setup and knot practice, followed by climbing.

Buffalo Crag - Camp & Climb Weekend

Climb at Buffalo Crag on Saturday or Sunday, or BOTH DAYS. We'll rent a group campsite for the Saturday so you can camp out if you want to. Please RSVP early so we know how many sites to book.
