2012 Spring-Summer Leadership Programs

Here are proposed leadership programs being directed by the Toronto Section in the spring and summer of 2012. Keep posted for further details.

A. General, open to all -- first come, first served

1. General Rock Skills Training with Leslie Timms, some time in May/June, may well be three weekends (up to 6 participants per time)

2. Introduction to Rope Leading (3 people at a time) with Leslie Timms/Rob Chisnall, at least two weekends, May-June

3. Basic Wilderness First Aid (12 people) -- April

4. Navigation (6 people) – May

B. Leadership Development (subsidized): participants selected by the leadership committee

1. Advanced Wilderness First Aid (4 people)

2. Rock Leadership with Rob Chisnall (4 people)

3. Mountaineering Mentoring Course in the Rockies with Conrad Janzen (4 people) -- Sunday July 8 to Friday July 13

4. The North Face Summer Mountaineering Leadership Course” (1 person) – the last week of the the general mountaineering camp (GMC)
