want to get back to trad

after a year and half out of climbing (first a hand injury, then a knee injury) i'm looking for partners who would like to trad climb. i have gear and i had done trad for about 4 years before this recent hiatus. i was climbing 5.8/5.9 trad (and 5.11 sport) before the injuries, so i'll be starting slowly again and probably sporadically(anyone up for 5.5?)--but i just want to get outside. i'm in toronto and i have a vehicle. let me know if you're interested

Climb with us?

There's a trip posted on the calendar to Metcalf Rock on September 1st. Doug, if you haven't climbed there, do come out! There's lots to climb (check out a guidebook before you come, if you can), and it's a great way to meet prospective trad partners. Just get in touch with the trip coordinator so he knows you're coming.

We all go to Creemore after climbing at Metcalf. Always an excellent day. :-)

And of course, come to the Ox Roast the following week-end. Bon Echo has more easy stuff than Metcalf, though it's multi-pitch.

I too am interested in

I too am interested in climbing some easy trad. Several years experience, just not climbing enough to stay in shape to do harder routes. I live in Hamilton and have gear.

I'll go for the 5.5 trad

My climbing ability is at a lower level than most. Something about age, I think. I've been trad climbing for a few years now, mostly seconding. So if you want someone to join you on those challenging 5.5s, then I'm up for it. Email at
